Where Is The Garden Of Eden On Earth
Olivia Luz
The garden of eden is the biblical earthly paradise created by god to be inhabited by his first human creation adam and eve.
The name of the first is the pishon. From there it was separated into four headwaters. Of course the location of each discovery is in a different location. The bible describes the area around the garden in genesis 2 even using recognizable place names such as ethiopia.
Edward lipinski and peter kyle mccarter have suggested that the garden of the gods sumerian paradise the oldest sumerian version of the garden of eden relates to a mountain sanctuary in the lebanon and anti lebanon ranges. The only thing the bible tells us concerning the garden of eden s location is found in genesis 2 10 14 a river watering the garden flowed from eden. The bible names four rivers that watered the garden known as the pishon gihon tigris and euphrates genesis 2 10 14 the other lands that these rivers flowed to and even what some of those lands were famous for. This garden in eden had a real location.
It mentions a spring in the garden which parts into four major rivers including the euphrates. Some claim that the name eden derives from the akkadian term edinu which means plain in the biblical tradition the garden is often alluded to by the biblical authors as a luxuriant place which is why it is sometimes called the garden of god. Therefore no one can logically suggest that the area where the present tigris and euphrates rivers are today is the location of the garden of eden for this area is sitting on flood strata containing billions of dead things fossils. The perfect garden of eden can t be sitting on billions of dead things before sin entered the world.
