Just because the bugs look like what you re expecting bedbugs to look like doesn t necessarily mean that that s what they are. The difference between the two is nevertheless that cockroach nymphs do not specifically bite humans. The difference between bed bugs and fleas is that bed bugs are shaped more like an apple seed and crawl. Bat bugs are bloodsucking insects that have a similar appearance to bed bugs.
Cockroaches do not bite humans but they can contaminate food. Bugs that look like bed bugs beetles others that resemble or mistaken there are a number of bugs that are mistaken for bed bugs. An adult bed bug can feed on its human host for almost 10 minutes at a stretch and as a matter of fact bed bug bites are quite nasty with rashes circling round the bite spot and a fair bit of irritation in the region. Fleas are most commonly found on animals but are not picky about their hosts and will feed on humans too.
They also dwell in cracks and crevices and less in your bed so they are close to food moisture and warmth. Fleas are much smaller and jump when disturbed. The cockroach nymphs appear white right after hatching but turn reddish brown in color making them look like bed bugs. Sometimes its reddish brown and appear bloated when they fed on the blood of a human.

Small cockroaches are similar to bed bugs in appearance. Carpet beetle is one the most common look a like. They are dark brown to mahogany colored and measure about 2 inches long. The poultry bug also known as the mexican chicken bug also resembles the bed bug.
Immature cockroaches are especially similar to bed bugs. Bed bugs feed primarily upon human blood although they may choose to feed on other warm blooded animals as well. Like bed bugs they are the size and shape of fleas dark brown globular abdomen shiny and oval shaped. To make distinguishing the two creatures even more confusing these immature roaches like to hide in cracks and crevices so you might find them in the same impossibly tight cracks in your bed that bed bugs might occupy.
It normally looks like large mites or small spider. The two bugs look very similar in appearance. Poultry bugs live on poultry farms and unlike bed bugs are parasites of birds and domestic fowl such as turkeys eagles and hawks.
